double version swx

hello to all, I would have in info to ask you.
a client is commissioning me a job but they use swx 2022, I have 2023.
if I install version 2022 on the same pc goes into conflict or can the two versions coexist?

Hi, the thing is feasible and my stations have been like this for years. to avoid confusion and equivocal names in folders, I never install in default folders. in the appropriate screen I choose to install in c:\programs\solidworksxxxx and the toolbox in c:\solidworks data xxxx where xxxx is the version of solidworks that I am installing. then it is to try.
there have been versions where the most up-to-date tends to be always chosen to open the files when double-clicking. to solve this problem (and others) I start solidworks through batch files that set various parameters of the environment, including the correct solidworks version to use by applying some system logs.

often macros can give problems because they feel the highest level installation, thus changing references in this case in 2023, when then using them with 2022 give you no reference error found.
