Okay, it's something that shakes me in my head since I use pro|e, I know that many use 3d mouse and have no more than these problems, but controlling the rotation of a 3d object with the mouse can sometimes be "frustrant". . .
pro|e has introduced a factory for which during rotation you can press the ctrl key and rotate only on the perpendicular axis to the screen. this addition to me is great, and I never found it in any other 3d software I tried (modeling and rendering software but also some cad).
Are there other software that implement such control?

If you talk about turning the view, edge uses the central key for the orbit and arrow keys for rotations around the vertical/horizontal axes.

I'm talking about the view. the arrow keys?!? I never would have said that, is it convenient? then using only the central key you can rotate only around axles that are in the screen plane, as in edrawings?

Perhaps I am hypnotically maniac of rotation, the most absurd thing is that productview express, always ptc, does not support ctrl key for rotation on normal :d

I don't know e-drawings, but solid edge automatically rotates around the center of the view if you press the central key, I think it calculates the center of the volume.

Yes, my question was if there is a way to turn the view around a "perpendicular" axis to the screen, as if it were a clock:) for example in nx while ruoti appears a sympathetic writing "rotating around x-y axes", okay, and the z axis? ;

nx can do it in a couple of different ways.

ps. I hate spaceballs.. .

Like what? I know that using the "rotate" mode I can rotate around one of the three axes selectively, which is already not bad, but it is still uncomfortable to switch from the "free" mode to that "on the axis", and besides you have to enter "rotate" mode before...

I love them.

If you stand at the edge of the screen and rooti blocks the perpendicular axis to the screen.
if you cross the tripode below left and rooti blocks the axis of the tripode you selected.

I don't like having 2 busy hands and then I find them very little intuitive.

If you mean the space_navigator and the like, after trying it, I'm very agreeable with you... It is good for small models, and for anti-sysmic desks...
I mean those. . .
really against worms.
in fiat they wanted to buy a thousand: then they tried them well and eventually decided to succumb.

Yes, ingenious, and moving only on the upper side rotates around the normal axis to the screen, it should be fig with a tactile screen :d. however you must always orbit in xy, stop to move in the upper part and rotate around z, go back down to the xy...
Maybe it's a little uncomfortable, but I think it's a matter of habit: years of pro|e have accustomed me to rotate in xy and switch to z with the ctrl key, at the same time I never use rotations around particular axes.

I've been testing it for some time, found it very comfortable in some situations, like when you have a colleague behind your shoulder and you have to show him some characteristics of the model, avoid giving him nausea to zoom fury and spins :d

I'm fine.
typically if I can reduce the "click" of the mouse, I am happy, also complicit a certain discomfort to the right wrist that sometimes comes:redface:.
with 3d animator, while ruoting the model the right hand rests a little...

I have a space traveler of 8 (!) years inherited by a designer my predecessor, and without admitting to find me very uncomfortable. you live the same, eh, but I find it a great comfort. in particular individual pieces
also is a great paper clip (I'm not ironing! )

I use a roll of notes of 500€.
