alternative to exceed

I am an ing.mechanic at the first steps with fluent software.

in a discussion of this forum I read that xming is an alternative, for + free, to exceed to operate gambit.

would someone be so kind to explain where to download it and how to configure it?
Besides, okay x qlsiasi version of gambit and fluent?
and again, is it the only alternative to higher?

quando ho installato exceed (exceed.powersuite.2008),
non ho dovuto fare nulla...l'ho installato e gambit lo richiamava
automaticamente...ma è troppo pesante e mi blocca un pò tutto.
ho installato xming, ho avviato gambit, ma non va...
mi dà come errore il seguente:

the problem seems in gambitche search exceed
I don't know gambit.

demand, higher serves to emulate a x11 terminal on a windows machine, but normally the graphic bookcases in unix machines are different, higher also supports pex, for example.
I don't want gambit to need those specific libraries to work, xming uses opengl, you should check.

maybe on the gambit options you can set the emulator to use, have you seen if there is a corresponding setting?
