Good morning to all,
I've done some research in the forums, but I haven't found anything, so I'm asking for your help:
I have to do a piece on the lathe, and the customer requires me this thread:
1 7/8" x 11 1⁄2 tpi american from thread
I looked everywhere, I realized that it is a npsm but I can't find the table where there are parameters for the thread from 1 7/8, the tables usually have 1, 1/4, 1" 1⁄2 and then the 2".
Am I wrong with the type of thread?

second thing to ask the customer what it means.

at the end will be like a thread m90x0,75....that is not unified but if I want to do it I just do it. the thing you need is to know and understand what they mean by x thumb threads.

Hi.
normally, when performing an inch thread on a cnc lathe, in programming, the thread step parameter is given by
25.4 / n° fil.x inch.
in this specific case 25.4 / 11.5 = 2.2087
the number of decimals after the comma depends on the machine and the type of control mounted.
