Hello everyone
It is a different time I follow this forum but I have never written anything, because more than anything I have always drawn from the knowledge of forum visitors, finding answers to my questions without having to write a post or anything.
now I am here to ask you a advice on an elasto-plastic analysis that I have to perform on a chord using ansys 16.2.
Unfortunately, I have used software such as femaps, cosmos, in the past years, but I have never used ansys, and above all I have never performed an exhausted analysis - plastic and here in the office from me there is no one who has ever performed such an analysis.
I therefore ask those who are experts of this type of analysis some tips on how to set the analysis.
the geometry on which I have to perform the analysis is a carbon steel fitting, with pressure loads, gravity and moments due to piping (saved).
I have read on several forums, which in the data engineering I have to insert a bilinear material, inserting the data relating to the tangential modulus and to the yielding (in bilinear behavior)
Unfortunately, I don't know what I have to set up in the analysis in addition to these two parameters.
thank you very much to all in advance! !
