Hi, I did an analysis with ansys apdl about the instability of a beam.
But...
1-After performing static analysis any guide says to use the block lanczos method...serve to calculate the matrix of geometric stiffness?
2-then I have to activate the option expand modes.....what does this option conceptually do? It's not explained anywhere.
I would really be interested in knowing what these 2 commands do, even because it concerns me the design theory to the finite elements, I found nothing, and even on the internet. . .
