area of selected surfaces in vba

Hello.

I am trying to process a vba function that, once selected a dotted surface or simply the contour of a closed area, will return me the area of this region. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? Is there a dry code? Thank you.

there is already the command area for the closed areas, if instead the question is select a series of lines and I have to get the closed area, then the speech changes.

However also there is the _boundary command that selecting an internal point draws a region/poliline then with the list commands it detects perimeter area etc...

you can think of automating the two commands, but inventing what is already not wise
