buy new portable workstation of the advice!

Hello everyone,
I am now forced to buy a new laptop, not having much experience I ask you all a help on which to choose.
software that mainly use are solidworks 2014 e Catch v5. in both work very much with the surfaces and lately I need to control very large and complex assemblies.
My biggest dilemma is the choice between nvidia e amd, m4800 e m6800!
thanks in advance for the attention, are welcome helpful tips.

What do you mean by very large and complex assemblies?? Did you throw out the previous discussions?? ? as ws recommend the precision m6800 for the larger display as vga you can range from the amd firepro m6100 to the nvidia picture k5100m.
don't talk about budgets or spending limits.....it is spontaneous to recommend the k5100m and stay quiet for a long time.
I posted some benches on various tabs and with various drivers give us a look.
based on my experience I can tell you that the firepro m6100 with sw and catia goes well if you do operations that require a lot of vram then the choice of a k4100 or k5100 picture could be decisive.

You're right, I've left my budget around 2,000€. for axiemi very degrees I mean with many configurable components and wraps. so let's say that the choice is between the nvidia® framework® k3100m with gddr5 from 4 gb and the amd fireproTM m6100 w/2gb gddr5.

I recommend the configuration with the firepro m6100+i7 4810mq+8gb+hd 500gb from 1599€ excluding VAT (1987,38€ with delivery costs and VAT) excluded then I would add the ram and a good ssd and with about 2300€ you will get a workstation that will allow you to work in peace of mind.
if you choose the configuration with the k3100m 16gb of ram and hd from 1tb the price starts from 2019€ VAT excluded (2499.78 with delivery and VAT)
if you opt for customization out of their standard offers the price raises a lot.

if the difference between firepro and nvidia is remarkable I am willing to spend 200 300 euros more!

I personally think that the card closest to the amd firepro m6100 is the nvidia picture k4100m and at the same base configuration that I recommended you costs 2990,66€ VAT included is 1003,28€ more.
only you can know what hardware power you need but from various notebookcheck sources, specviewperf the m6100 seems to defend itself quite well.
I attach an image for comparison between k4100-k5100-m6100 (it was taken from the site spec.org the bench of m6100 is that of my precision m6800.

the discussion posting the link of another mobile workstation the hp zbook 17 g2 j8z55et that is equipped with the amd firepro m6100.
from the tests carried out by notebookcheck with specviewperf 12 have come out of really interesting values and a good overall judgment on the notebook.
