Hello everyone!

I would need to create macros in catia from scratch, I know that you can create in two different ways but I have not found anywhere a guide or guidelines that told me how to do "from zero" and that they are a minimum clear. Does anyone know where I can find material to read and spray to start creating macros? or can someone help me directly? Thank you!

to create macros in catia v5 you need to have a good familiarity with visual basic.
the online documentation of catia is very rich in information... for those who know very well vb...

you can create a macro with visual basic or catiascript that is very similar to has vb but with own bees of catia.
you can program directly on the casket compiler.
of specific guides exist only in English otherwise you read a nice manual of vb and 70% of the work is already done.

I would like to know if you can develop something having caty and visual study through vb / macro / bees.
My idea would be to create a simple interface between catia and some external simulation soft. Vercut type, to allow to select mathematical models, 3d crude, tool shapes and export them all to external files in stl format.
any example (also macro), would be liked.

first of all thanks to the answer!
I have visual studio 2013 is I have a good knowledge of external simulation software, I use them normally for work.
I have already developed an interface between a cam powermill and one of these simulators, but I knew well this cam and the various functions it provided.

But now I wanted to try to implement if possible the same functionality with catia, but I need help.

It is in the bin folder in the caia directory.
