Do you take this curiosity away from me, please?

but is it true that catia v6 also runs on Apple operating systems (mac osx)?

Thank you.

never seen installation disks for mac, but I saw that through a virtual machine they turned out and installed catia.

Hi.

no, it goes only in dual boot, excluding virtualization that for now does not fully support the power of the graphics card in open gl.

knowing little about the mac world, can someone explain to me what you mean by virtualizer? is it like an emulation operation, as was there once in unix (you could have us start over windows and its applications)? or anything?
and in dual boot, the machine actually works in windows, or is it still "over" osx?
thanks for clarification.

the dual boot porpiamente said consists in making two partitions on the disk, and in one you will have osx and in the other windows. the two systems are bootable, but only one at a time, and to pass from one to another you must restart the pc.

with the virtualizer instead this is not necessary: There is a program that runs in osx (for example) where an operating windows system is simulated.

If the pc is very powerful, the second system can give you appreciable results. is commonly used in server environment: on one machine you turn both linux and windows at the same time, with saving space and current.

Thank you very much for the prompt answer!
second enri, however, the best thing is the dual boot, at least to throw catia (and other cad, I guess).
I'll deepen this with field evidence...

more in the release of virtualization sw that will also blur 100% of the graphics card, there have been anticipations, but today only the processor and ram is well exploited, so it is not advisable to work in opengl, at least with many objects, for small models it is okay.
for the choice you first try them for the use that you do, there is however virtual box that is free. the other best known at least on mac are vm ware and parallels, which are both good.

Bye to all,
Does it happen that catia cannot be installed under virtual machine (vmware fusion and windows xp)? ? ?
if I try to install it I will restart the virtual machine!!! How come?
possible that catia is not installable in virtual machine? ? ?

ah I use a macbook unibody (i.e. the new white one)!

I hope you can help me... a greeting
