First of all, hello to all.. .I am new to the forum and this is my first post.
I am simulating a centrifugal pump model (designed with catia v5 r16) in cfdesign 10 environment is not the first simulation I do.
following the recommendations in the software guide, I carried out the simulation of the pump using the "rotating region" , while the desired and the inlet are constituted entirely by water (so it is not the true solid model then mixed with water, well a whole solid to which I assigned h20_costant as material); all as the manual recommends.
the problem arises when I go to enter the boundary conditions:
I know everything, pump rotation, flow and delta p total.
inserting cond.cont. only for the input ( relative static pressure of 0 atm and mass flow), the pump compresses very well with final speed of the fluid close to zero, only that the section of the incoming pipe is crossed by a ten-fold flow of that assigned to me, and this value varies, apparently randomly, even moving the section of a millimeter. I am extremely confused
.
the same happens by calculating the flow rates inside some sections of the pump: Four values are also 5 times higher than the input range. How is it possible? :frown:
assigning the mass flow even out the problem does not change and in addition the pump expands in the last section of the wanted
I hope some of you can help me.
