change sketch in flange sheet

Marco Piccinelli

Guest
hi to everyone, I've been interfaced for a few days to inventor 2021 (proven by solidworks 2017),
Although the two programs are similar I find some difficulty with 2d sketches.
I ask for your kind support regarding the modification of a sketch on flange 3d of a sheet, in practice I can create quietly flange but I am accustomed that with solidworks it was enough to right-click on the function and change the sketch creating the form of sketch that I wanted (standard creates a rectangular flange as shown in photo).
If with inventor I do this in reality does not open my sketch and does not show me anything, I attach photos to clarify the concept.
Has anyone happened? Am I wrong?

to change the flange you have to go to the sx tree "flangia " right-click "modification processing "
you can change various parameters.
If instead you have to make cuts or holes you have nothing else to do with a new sketch above.

If I have understood the inventor question, it makes you the rectangular flange, just to shape it, you need other commands (cut, face, bevel etc.). the flange changes as correctly indicated by Tags.by personal curiosity, from your question I think I understand that sw creates a changeable sketch, is that so? in practice as if it created a "face" processing by leaning on the edge of the sheet.. .
(in fact if you find yourself better as a system more like sw you can do so too). an option I would love to be honest.
