Hello, everyone.
every time I agree at the end of the project to have in the work directory
even those parts that have been created but are no longer part of the project
and therefore of the main aid.
there is a way that is not the "save backup" to eliminate everything you need
in the working directory?
the "save backup" also saves the parts recalled by search.pro what I would like to avoid

in a few words I would like to do a cleaning from the superfluous

Thank you.

nn there is a specific function in creo. I think the only way is to make a small ad hoc application.

I mean, one thing not within everyone's reach. .

I find myself now switching into the browser folders with preview part by side
the useless parts "to memory" the elimin opening them and eliminating them permanently.
of course the first level axieme must be in session, so
that accidental removal of internal parts does not happen.

operation that is not the maximum from the point of view of the speed
species in large assemblies

exact .. we as a company do a are of tools to automate the work in creo. We have never thought of this because we have customers who work this way but can be interesting to develop it.

When I worked without pdm, I used this method:
- hand-archive final files
-I created an Temp folder in the work directory, where I moved unused studies and files (of course the folder is not in searchpaths
-I open the master axieme and if no parts were missing, I erased the content in temp.

to not have this activity concentrated at the end of the project, as I did not use certain files, I moved them immediately, so as to minimize the files to be checked at the end.

Hi.

I don't have a pdm.
I solve the problem by assigning, to the various components during the design phase, a provisional code with a certain prefix, for example aaa. at the end, once the project is completed, I check the definitive codes, then those that remain with the provisional code, if I want to delete them easily.
This method is very useful especially if my new combination comes from the modification of a previous job, which happens very often, so doing I immediately recognize what are the new details from the old ones that must be kept without change.

good idea
In fact it is quite practical as operation I could even at the end of the project rename temporarily
all with a recognizable prefix, eliminate what I can eliminate and then rename by removing the suffix

... I think that in some way centres since we talk about code assignment.
I happen sometimes to rename parts and assimilate me by forgetting to have in session the relative drawings then
I open them and obviously they don't find the names you're created with. Do you have any suggestions to give me? It's something that makes me bad when it happens. .

Thank you very much

Good morning
very interesting the ideas of this conversation; Thank you!
I also did so: I opened all but all the main assemblies and all the drw; from explore resources I erased all the files in block, and then from creo/proe I saved the drawings and open assemblies.
this is a method that also allows to rename with suffix 1 files; first you need to make a backup of the whole workbook, if something was forgotten....
But it is a dangerous method, which I no longer use; it is good if you work alone ....

You know that maybe it's the system + fast

thanks to all

the method is valid, but only for small assemblies, because, at least with wf5, more than 15 files at the same time cannot be opened.

of course before rename the component, a double click on opendrw, to open the table.

I happen to purify this problem...
Sorry one more question: why do you say double click on open draw?
in reality I open-- > type;drw-- > drawing
