in a month I will start a new job as a designer where they use solidedge st6.
they showed me some drawings made by them just to give me an idea of what they do and at first glance they seemed to me imports from autocad because each element was carefully matched to a different color (as you normally do with autocad in fact).
I asked how those drawings were generated and I was told that they were native to solidedge.
I have always seen your designs in black and never in color. How do you manage dratfs?
I hope to have explained:rolleyes:

they will have used autocad colors for custom.

I use these settings:
- main lines in black
- hidden and tangent lines in dark grey
- axes, quotas and texts in blue

Hi.

thanks be_on_edge of the answer.
I'm sure it's gonna be a habit of carcad behind me, but I was wondering if it was an abomination. such customization or not.
Among other things, I was told that the author of these drawings is a good one and goes around doing courses to new users of solidedge:eek:

If you have to draw all day having many colors maybe in contrast to each other they make you the headache.

Among other things, in autocad, I used this device to differentiate the line thickness, which is completely useless with solid edge.

I find that the multi color pushed distract the designer\reader from the purpose of the design itself. In addition it is really bad to look at.
I said this I abort this kind of settings and discourage them (and I did not recommend them when I did the courses and immancad the ex autocads asked me if they could do).
