Compensation per rendering

Good evening to all,
My name is gorea, I'm 30 years old and I'm a gemetra enrolled in the professional register. I have already found some discussions that dealt with my problem but I couldn't take away the doubts I had and above all were old enough.

My "problem" you see indicated in the title:tongue: first but I make a premise:
already for a long time I quote myself in drawing 3d and in renderings; until now I have always done it and only for "training" and for personal curiosity. (I am completely self-taught in this area). from time to time in fact I quit to not lose the habit in the commands and to learn and improve the functions. (only use autocad 2017)

for a couple of weeks I have been collaborating with a colleague architect who realizes, for some of his clients, interior decorating solutions. not being very practical, he always showed the decor in 2d plant with any prospect of furniture and various furnishings.
he would have asked me to help her in her work, carrying out the design 3d and rendering of the various environments; nothing particularly excessive....the minimum necessary to better understand the footprint and size of furniture.

My question at this point is this: Whereas in the end my work will be paid and considering that it is the first job of rendering that is required to me; How can I quantify what I do and what is being asked?
Is there a method of calculation or do I count from time to time?

hi sjan, you have to consider several factors like e.g. fatturi or do everything in black, license of the regular software or craccata, and not least the amount and quality of the work that, forgive me if I tell you, is really poor. 4 views like those attached personally I would pay you no more than 50€ and consider that I would be remitting.

I simply asked if there are parameters to quantify these types of work. It wasn't hard.

If I'd asked how much a compensation could be for a sales report, would you have wanted to read it first?
or simply you would be based on other factors (ex. type of property and size, location, difficulty in finding documents ... etc.)

the presumption and superiority that I know from the answer, sincerely leaves me very flattened and amazed..... I think that anyone who looks into a forum seeks much more. I have opened this discussion to have answers, not to be judged and offended professionally (also because, I repeat, I have not asked opinion on my work).

the title is "compensation for..." and you forgot to mention something very important that you wrote and that is "to make you understand the general level". if this is the general level, your work is worth that figure I indicated because to realize a model like what you showed in photo I use less than 30 minutes (and certainly there will be professionals who employ even less).

no parameters exist. There is no price list like that of the hairdresser. and I can tell you that I was also kind, because on other forums with similar requests the answer was like: "if you don't know how to quantify your job, it means you're not ready to do it"

I don't think I offended anyone. I just said that the job you posted is mediocre and this is not an offense, it is a fact. collect cg magazines for more than 20 years and similar renderings to yours were published at 3ds 3 times on dos.
I'm sorry you took it personally. I hope you find answers to your questions, but I don't know if this is the right place.

I would say that we cannot go beyond 100€. difficult to split between modeling and rendering (including creation of bitmaps/materials, lighting and so on), also because today many models are already made and made available by producers, which hardly happened 10-15 years ago. Of course if the views should become 4, or 5 or 10 (no one will ever ask for one view!) it is not that the number is taken and multiplied by...but obviously the cost would increase. If a film is required, it would be even more complicated, and costs rise a bit.

on another dionisium forum, which I mentioned earlier, wrote a post (in response to a topic talking about ads of rendering services at 60€) which in my modest opinion makes the situation clear. quote:"quality products are always appreciated by the eye but no longer by the wallet. the firms no longer have the budgets of once or better, maybe they have it but since the competition in general, in order to survive has lowered the prices more than half, we what are we doing here? the situation is to say little tragic and if someone takes a look abroad, the viewing market goes much better. in Paris there are studies that invoice 1,500,000 / 2,000,000 euros by making rendering services! I don't know if you realize it! here we are talking about people making renderings for 100 or a few thousand euros on things that should be sold so much more. but rightly the Italian customer is the usual one: cost too much, I found one who does half and even less... It's very difficult to answer, I'm not in the rendering industry, so what I'm going to say is very indicative and based on what I've heard over time.
a good designer, can get paid about 20 euros + VAT for an hour of work. However the problem is to be fast enough and capable to produce something from the competitive price. should therefore be considered the quality of the final result.

the advice I can give you is to ask some quotes to the professionals in your area to get an idea. ask your architect what he has spent so far, and as you have no experience on it, try to agree on a fee.

this gil may be applied in the mechanical sector, but in architectural environment no one will ever pay 20€ + iva a designer. years ago (when the brick crisis was beginning) an architect told me: "but how? your company invoices for your skills up to 90€ now to provide training and I also have criminal liability for work that I run barely 40€? "
if an architect invoices less than 40€/h how can you afford to pay a designer 20€? What's left? by now try to arrange everything or in turn choke the collaborators doing them to work if it is ok to 10-15€ or even less. for this that certain works by now can only do students or graduates, in black and without license. and so closes the circle...

Yes, I read and they need to understand the situation.
but the problem in Italy is especially mental. the prevailing mentality is to spend little, at the expense of quality. this is true in all sectors, compared to other professionals tell stories that seem jokes.

most of us Italians do not care what they buy. counts only you present well and that costs little.
so the Chinese tease us because we buy avariata tomato sauce (see service the hyenas).
In the same way, building doesn't matter to anyone if you build badly.
