I am using beam4-type elements...the structure should have the shape of a dome we say, but I did not understand if this form can be achieved by optimizing or I have to set it from the beginning...it is the first time I use ansys then apologize if I say stupid unfortunately the prof is not very available

I mean structural optimization to find the most satisfactory configuration.... in the optimization process I should insert both my sizing and layout variables and the objective function that for me is the weight.

you can plot them only when you are in post1 i.e. at a solution acquired.
