I am experimenting personally (and I found confirmation in various discussions) that sometimes (often!) the file that contains macros (default.ivb) gets damaged and then inventor 2014 crashes at every restart. to be able to restart inventor it is necessary to replace the default.ivb ruined with a "healthy". I therefore recommend to all (smanettoni or not) to make a copy of the default.ivb file (the default location for me is c:\users\public\documents\autodesk\inventor 2014) and to keep it aside. more work with vba, more backups do.
in case of need, to recover the content in the ruined .ivb file and of which you have not backed up you can open the same with inventor 2013 where everything will work perfectly
mad: good autodesk excellent improvements!) and export all the modules then reimport them to a healthy file.
I hope the post you don't need but backup do it!
