Hello, guys, I'm a mechanical engineering student of bari and I'm at first with ansys for the realization of the thesis. I have to make a cylindrical panel with stringer and ring (reinforcements respectively axial and transverse) both to blade. I wanted to know what the command was to set the paramentary variables through which I can go to define my keypoints through which to generate the panel. Thanks :)

Excuse me, but what ansys do you use? classic or work bench?

"I wanted to know what the command was to set the paramentary variables through which I can go to define my keypoints through which to generate the panel" I have to interpret it. . auh auh

Sorry, classic ansys.

with regard to the discourse of variables, I have hardly put myself and reading from the material I have available, I have seen that paramatric variables are set (of the type: panel length=l= 200 m) to be able to then define the position of the keypoints; I hope to have explained and apologize if I use a language we say questionable :)

I know what you mean but I never "worked" like that. I am used first to define kp, then lines, areas and similar.

I recommend the book "the finite element method and applications in engineering using ansys " or consult some guides in English naturally.

If you miss the bases sec me you will never adore to shape that panel!

I understand, thank you for the advice.

having to realize reinforcements with own web and flanges, the use of parametric variables would be obliged. Please note any other answers :)

question but you for parameter variables you mean?
simple parameters, of the type r (curve radius), l (cylinder length) and then go to define the points positions with these variables and go to combine them, thus making parametric equations.

you don't need books, the ansys guide is more than complete.
go to "mechanical apdl" and then in the chapter "ansys parametric design language".
study it well, hello

I managed to create my panel, playing a bari unit, I meshato it and now I wanted to ask something that can be stupid, how do I see how many mesh and nodes I have? Thank you very much :)

hallucinating! ! !
the fundamentals are missing! !

I think you're not going anywhere!

cme in the bar type:

All the way

/stat,global

and you should have all the info about the number of mesh, nodi ect ect
ps: as the good stefano garbin said (which I still thank for the patience shown with me) read the chapter that suggested you.

find all the commands you need, little but sure!

I would love to learn how to use ansys as complete and precise as possible. I have to do this work within 2 weeks so I try to help even in the most brazen and acceptable ways possible. Thank you for the answer :)

Thesis work in two weeks?
with ansys my pro for the thesis made me lose 6/8 months.. Let's go!

Good Sunday!
