distance between two elements in an assembly

I can't give a distance between two pieces in an assembly. I try with the remote control between elements in the pmi menu, but it gives me a blocked distance.

How can I do that?

I suggest you do the exercises first.
Anyway to do what you want to do you don't have to use pmi...you have to use relationships!

I use relationships to align, make parallels etc but I do not find the distance to set!

with the pmes you cannot move the pieces, the pmi are only of help to verify the distances, that is to quote on 3d.
