export porgetti me10 in solidworks

Hybrid

Guest
hi, I hope it's the right section as we work with solidworks. the problem is this: tire patterns and old machine designs are within a very old pc in me10 format that draw from a linux server. one of the two pcs has already jumped, repairing it does not make sense (year 2000) and me10 has been abandoned for a long time and is no longer found. Since we work with solidworks, is it possible somehow (also making intermediate steps through other programs) export such files to solidworks? alternatives?
ideal would create a macro that exposes all projects automatically in the chosen target format; the more you can do by hand even if they are hundreds. the important thing is to recover them before they go completely lost!

copy all me10 files on at least 2 media ... before losing everything.
once there were utilities to export to dxf/dwg.
In the absence you have to find someone who can convert the archive...you realize you have to spend money.

for backup ok, no problem. is the second thing I'm interested in...there is no app that allows you to open directly in solidworks such projects (in the end are simple 2d) or an app that allows you to open them and export them to dxf/dwg?
What do you mean "find someone who can convert the archive"?

I don't think of solidworks you can do anything.
You need to find someone who has me10 or a translation program. As they are not free programs I don't think you do it "aggratis", unless it is a few files and someone does it to you at a courtesy level.

but I have me10 and working! Only one of the two pcs jumped, so I wish I could do something before it jumps completely! is installed on a pc with win xp...

and then you have to export with the working machine in dwg/dxf.
I don't know if me10 has the possibility to export entire archives without having to open the individual files, I would wait for the intervention of some experienced user.

in me10 there is the macro translation in dwg dxf. I do not remember how the folder is called but if you find it is easy enough to understand that it is the converter. he feeds all the folder and he transforms the files of me into dwg. Some files however usually give error, maybe big and without extension.
However, it is the only way to see them in dwg.

I'll look in the morning. Is it command or macro? Do I need to search the local computer or the server? Unfortunately I do not know for nothing me10, and the colleague is not practical of computer, not even knew the existence of this conversion. then you have to import the files into solidworks one by one?

the folder where there is the dwg converter you find it where you did the installation, then on the pc where there is me10 installed.
I think I remember it's an independent bat or exe. If you're lucky once you launch me10 you could find it in the menus or buttons with direct converts to dwg if someone used it before you. otherwise to need launch me10, open the file and save with not and choose dwg

It's an executable, if I don't remember, it's called dxfdwg.exe or something. Put it out of a dos window and he converts the folder indicated, without needing to open me10. definitely there is a help to see how to do.

As the good hunter says, there's a folder called dxfdwg with an executable dos.
you can convert one file or one entire folder.
open the dxfdwg.con text file and check that the conversion settings are the ones you like, convert a file first and see that all pictures.

Here's a folder catch. *.with file is to be customized (pardon, "customize" ) to obtain the desired result.

I faced the same kind of problem.

creates a list file (dir *.mi /b /s > list.txt, or with the ls command -(I don't remember option) under linux)
the list file will become the input for dxfdwg.exe.

If you don't have all single boards but study together, you need to write macros to save every single part of the axieme in a dwg. see here, if you need I put macros with the latest updates.
