export profiles machine

Good morning.

I am facing a problem: through solid edge (st4) I would like to export dxf profiles created by the views of a 3d model, which will be given "to eat" to the machines in production but I can not export a file that is compatible. with the old cad 2d that was used for the same operations (gbg), it turns out that the segments receive as properties a different number each and the machine would want them in order at least consecutive from the base of the profile to its final point. with gbg you can get an order but with the only if I do not find a way to give it.
I tried to create different 3d models by changing the order of features or by creating the profile of revolution (which I would like to avoid) but the result is not in order. .

help?

I read the message, but I didn't get it.
you have an asm set with multiple pieces, with a view in draft, carry a view (a line cut), but only the external profile (how do you do? Are you hiding all internal borders by hand? ),
Finally you have the problem that the profile obtained in dxf is not ordered for cutting.

probably the solution is to be sought with programming that chew dxf and translate them into machine language (g-code) and have a reorganization function.

that I know with solid edge a similar function is performed only in sheet metal (lamiera) when exporting to dxf the profile of the developed. If it's not a routine job you can try to get the dxf you have now, put it in sheet metal, make a sheet of 1 mm, then carry out, just to try

Thank you for having responded, I actually managed to solve this by creating a view outside of the print area in the draft, on this I recalcated the profile with lines and curves creating them in the order that interests me, finally with some constraints I made sure that the lines "running behind" to the profile during the changes of the parameters. copying the profile and pasting it into a new draft in 0.0 I can finally export the dxf.

But now I am facing another problem: the profile has too high precision!
segments and curves are described with numbers with ten and more digits after the comma but the machine wants five maximum. Is there a way to change this parameter in the dxf export configuration by itself?

Hello again,
I also solved this, identifying the .ini configuration file for the export of dxfs, I modified in a row the variable "write decimal places" to the value I needed! then you just saved it with another name and select it in export options when you save it in .dxf!

Thanks anyway for the help! to the next:)
