Good morning to all, my name is luca and I am a mechanical engineering student struggling with the three-year thesis in fluid dynamics. I was assigned the classic flow problem on a 2d cylinder, which so far gave results too far from literature due to mesh limited to 512000 cells.
to overcome the problem I was advised to divide the geometry and to inflate only around the cylinder, creating two surfaces ("surface from faces") to be treated with different mesh. the problem is that after these steps the software considers the internal rectangle (the one with the cylinder) as a unique and solid piece, as seen from the pressure screen.
how can I do so that the flow also crosses the small rectangle while maintaining the doubled mesh?
thanks to all in advance
