demand for popular culture: how to organize your project folders?
do as I throw everything in one folder or you are ordered and do the folder "assiemi" "table" "pdf" etc...?
curiosity, more than anything...

I am like this:

1) Customer
-- (2) order
-----> 2a) 3d
-----> 2b) draft
-----> 2c) products to be processed (if applicable)
-----> 2d) preliminary studies
-----> 2e) various documents (letters, specifications, annotations, reliefs etc etc.)
-->3) commercial parts for that customer, to be used on all orders

Note that I don't have pdm, if I had probably things would be different.

---- folder studies, usually .asm and dft.
----cartella machine documentation, usually only .dft
- general component folder divided into subfolders for type of components.

I also put my plans in order. working with machines
particular but of different dimensions I usually create the folder with the name of the machine and inside the subfolders of the groups (structure, cinematism, carter etc.) where inside I have the dfts and a under folder 3d with the models

- Carter.
-3d

working in this way I have the advantage that if I make another different machine but that uses a same type of suppoiamo carter, I cover/neck all the folder carter from one project to another and you hold the correct links within the new project. the only thing I have to do is rename them with rm and then change them

the folder "mask" is where we put the masks for assembly of the carpentry to be soldered dedicated to the specific machine.
the pdm of if I find it at least decent, compared to the only one I used previously, that integrated in i-deas, I find it globally better; to use it at best it is however necessary to have a server with installed sql server.

I personally divide files by folders by grouping them by content and not by format. different orders go to different folders.
preliminary and final go to different folders
proposal, structural, constructive go to different folders

2d, 3d, pdf, etc. go into the same folder, then ordering by type the files separate themselves, ordering alphabetically they group again.

subfolders:
-documents
-Table

in the main folder I only keep the main axieme in the various versions.
