Hello, everyone!

I searched on the forum but found nothing about 3ds files;
possess sw 2008 and have passed me a 3d file library in 3ds format;

Do I have any chance to use it? How can I do that?

Thank you.

directly no. or send the files to an openable format with swx (look at the open list) or open the file with another program (open source) and send it to a readable format by swx. However, 3ds files are weighers in export to wrml, dxf, iges or other export formats. often simple geometries are exported to many facets that do nothing but weight the file. the best thing would be to have a .step file but I doubt that who gave you 3ds can give you .step.

ok thank you;
Is there a free 3d library on the internet? I navigated a lot to find it but only offer .3ds files;
if you know a library that includes furniture such as sanitary ware, various furniture sinks, taps, tables, texture tiles etc...?

on the site of the swx something is, for particular objects look at the sites of the most important producers, some of them insert their objects in 3d.
Allow a question, dealing with similar topics (furniture), shouldn't you draw with swx products? Those who download from the network are worth nothing. are only volumes without specifications and without the right dimensions.

Yes you are right; in fact I would only need to make a "optic" simulation of my house restored with the various furnishings; Thanks a lot anyway, I'm looking for them now! Can you tell me the links of the companies sites?
