Dear colleagues,
I am continuing my research work on the study of the cooling system of the blades of gas turbines, meeting as usual difficulty, and I am very happy to write in this forum that I am of great help. studying hard from the help, from the tutorials, and from the thousand tricks you suggest here, I think I will have the cards in order to get up with the cad / cae.
Well, here's the problem: I drew the shovel on autocad, I imported it like iges on gambit, but there's some problem:
-any polyline of the shovel is not displayed, or it seems that it disappears in the passage from autocad to gambit.
-any other polylinea is imported with all the vertices of the lines that make up the polylinea. (if you click on a polyline in autocad, all the vertices represented by a blue square appear, had these vertices pass all to gambit, which I want to avoid).
-Finally other polylines are imported only with extreme vertices of beginning and end.
Now it is obvious that I would like to import in gambit a shovel whose polylines have only the two vertices of start and end polylinea in gambit, having done a big job in join autocad and split to define very precise polylinee.
As you know well this need comes from having to define the nature of such polylines in gambit, for example wall, or fluid, in order to be able to perform thermofluidodynamic calculations on the discrete domain, integrating numerically to the computer (the fluent) the differential equations of continuity, energy, amount of motion.
what depends on the policy of importing polylines? Why do these three cases arise? as an amount only polyline of the third type?
Thank you.
Gennaro
