inserire in file .3ds in autocad

Hello everyone! I need help. I have a 3ds file (or I can also have it in .max format) and I would like to insert it in autocad, someone knows how to explain if it is possible and how to do it?

the autocad version is important because if you have a 2000lt it doesn't matter anything, if you have more recent versions (from 2013 I'm sure) you can do it.
obviously just write in the online guide (the unknown thing that opens with the menu or f1, 3ds and it comes out like doing.
