intermediate section

Hello, in solid edge I imagine having a ball and I want to realize a sketch of an intermediate section between the ball and a plane, for example in a plane parallel to the reference one, but when within the relative plane, I can only select the edge of the ball and not the cut line, how can I do? Thank you.

on top you select surfaces then intersection curve, so select the body, then the fictitious plan that I built and then finish. in this way individual a useful curve type sketch for successive constructions
