internal error opening file

Hello.
I am desperate... I have been trying for hours to open a 3d file of autocad on which I worked for a couple of days without any problem, but strangely from today as soon as I try to open it I appear the nice written:
internal error: !saveres.cpp@437:egeneralmodelingfailure
How can I solve this? Please tell me there is a way to recover the material!

work with autocad 2006 (I know very old!) and the design is architectural.
Anyway I solved by sending the file to a friend who managed to open it without problems, renamed it and sent it back;now it seems that everything goes well!

Since I use autocad on mac through parallels I have had endless grains: 3d files are very slow and unmanageable, although very light; they scatter objects and even sometimes files I can not even open them anymore.
Now my fear is that the problem is coming back again. What should I do?

.bak don't open, they rename. where you need to rename the .bak file in .dwg extension

beautiful question....si, use autocad always but I also use many other programs like photoshop,cinema4d,vrayperc4d and on mac I have to say that I am much better!
