inventor 2008 pro vs win 7 64bit

I ask you because I am afraid to make a wrong purchase:
inventor 2008 pro s'install and spin the same on a stand alone workstation with win 7 to 64 bit?
if yes, do I have to request the version of inventor?
I'm not gonna make a big deal about the vault. but I just have to work in 3d with mechanical parts.
Who makes the doubt clear to me?

It's a pretty urgent matter and I don't go out "live" ... I should solve it as soon as possible and start drawing.
who knows about 64-bit win7 with inventor 2008?

As far as I know, inventor 2008 does not work with win 7 to 64 bits.
the first 64-bit rel. is 2009.
I regret that the practice of posting several times to call attention should be avoided.

due to the increase of the details in the assemblies we passed to win 7 64 bit, but after installing inv 2008 to 64 bit this gives me error when opening the files.
Can you give me a hand? Do you need a spxx?

a solution to the problem could be to use xp mode di windows 7 (not for all versions of w7).
Alternatively, you can use virtual box to virtualize a machine with windows xp.

if the problem concerns complex axioms virtual machines are not a solution as they degrade performance. I tried xp mode and left it right away for cad applications.
