memoria scratch in ansys wb

good morning to all, during an analysis with wb I see the insufficient scratch memory message, that is:
this model requires more scratch space than available. ansys has currently allocated yy mb and was not able to allocate enough additional memory in order to proceed. please increase the virtual memory on your system, and/or increase the work space memory and rerun ansys. problem terminatedMy question is simple. to increase the memory available to ansys in wb I have to do this: product launcher-->prefereces-->use custom memory setting? or do I have to proceed otherwise? thanks to all

I never happened but writing "model requires more scratch space" in search of ansys' help come out paragraphs 21.3 and 21.5 that speak of ram and virtual memory, because the error happens and how to act.

I gave a quick read, but I think I understand that the possibilities are:
- impose ansys to use more virtual memory;
- impose on the computer to allow ansys to use it (i.e. the block was not given by the settings of ansys but by those of windows).

I think I understood that... I didn't get into it for lack of time.

Thank you for your time. My model is quite large and requires a very thick mesh. windows has the possibility in my pc to take advantage of 4 gb of ram but ansys uses only a 1gb so I think the problem is to increase what ansys can use. I will try to manage the memporium of ansys . thanks for your intervention

to the eye and cross you don't have enough space on hard drive.
wb arranges to allocate ram memory (on a 32-bit computer cn windows usually manages to allocate up to 1.4gb), and when not enough creates a paging file (not that of windows) that has an extension ".page".
if your model is big, and maybe even with non-linearity, the space you hard drive becomes a critical parameter.

if I well understood then the virtual memory space of windows is partly used by windows itself and partly by ansys with the .page file? so I should have a lot of disk space. .
my operating system is a win7 - 64 bit, possible that it exploits only here 1.4 gb ram?
