modelling of a parametric whim

Guest
Hello, everyone.
I need to model a parametric whim, making it clear that at the variation of the parameter "chain length" (horizontal element), also the parameter "point length" (oblique elements) follow this variation. I proceeded from the generic metric model (that of reticular beams I was not of any help) and setting the various reference plans for the extrusion of solids. When, however, in properties, I change the chain-related parameter (e.g. 700 cm to 900 cm) the end of the dots registers this variation as it is stuck on the chain-related plane, but the intradox remains stuck in its position. There is definitely a way to "block" the size of the dot section but I can't find it. I used quotes for the term blocking as I have already tried to create reference plans that identify this measure by blocking it, but nothing.
Does anyone know how to help me? I have been on this issue since early January.
I hope I've been clear, thank you very much

Why not use a family of reticular beams?

Why not use a family of reticular beams?
because the family of reticular beams in revit is born from steel, so I have to use wood, when I go to change the material in type modification, inevitably problems arise in knots; without considering that when I go to add other elements like saettes, counterchains etc, the problem described in the thread is re-proposed, that is, these elements do not respond properly to the change of light

not knowing what you have to pull out exactly, it is difficult to help you. in the post that I linked to you, as you see, I had made a truss in parametric wood, and still there were no structural connections. now that nodes can be parameterized, the thing would be even easier

Yes, that site I knew him, it was one of the first things I saw and apparently had solved my problem, but unfortunately it was not so...
