hi, introduce me, I am new to the forum, I design professional video audio systems and autocad use also for many hours per day consecutively.
the intensive use of traditional mouse led me to problems of epicondilitis to the right elbow and pains to the right hand. I was advised to switch to a graphic tablet with pen. I currently use the wacom bamboo. pains have decreased, but the problem is that the pen does not have the function of the wheel (scroll) that for me with autocad is absolutely indispensable for example to zoom quickly with center at the point where the mouse is pointed. with the pen I have to go and make various choices in the menus, and it is very uncomfortable.
I read that for my problems it is also useful a vertical mouse, therefore I was evaluating among various input peripherals that allow the hand to stand in vertical position compared to the forearm (what is said the position of the handshake, which is the one that greatly reduces my problems), but that it has the function of the scroll wheel.
I wonder if any of you use vertical mouse-type peripherals such as evoluent, which has the traditional two buttons with central wheel but vertically put, or if they are better joystick-like tools, such as 3m em500 or trackball like logitech, and with which of these are better for the predominantly use of cad.
Thank you very much to all.
