new part error in solid edge v19

Good morning
I find myself having this unpleasant drawback:
I just bought a new laptop, one of the precision 7710 sevice tag djmnl72
on this laptop I installed solid edge v19,
and here comes the problem:
the program opens correctly but to the creation of a new part (*.par)
once clicked on ok the program crashes and shows an error window,
once clicked ok on the error window the program closes.

avviato il pc disabilitando tutti i servizi e i programmi di avvio (msconfig da esegui) ma il programma da errore ugualmente
avviato il pc in modalità provvisoria: il programma si avvia e non da errore nella creazione della parte ovvero funziona

What operating system do you have? if you have win10 try to go back to seven (I use v18 on seven and it works well, while on 10 it was not okay).

may also be a problem related to the graphic driver, try with the options "reserve reminder" or "driven by the software" in the solid edge settings.

However I can not understand where the problem resides, perhaps centered with the memory of the graphics card (quadro m3000m 4gb ram dedicated)

then, the functions of the video card:

1) reserve memory: is a bad translation from English (backup memory), however it means that the soft uses the main ram of the computer also for graphic elaborations, leaving the dedicated one of the video skehda. It's an option designed for the past years when laptops had shared ram video.

2) Software Guided: I believe that means that the system does not use the graphic drivers of windows (inviate in your case) but does all the processing within it.

both situations (especially 2) cast a lot of the potential of the system, preventing it from providing maximum performance. You'll probably find out working with big asses.

You should find the source of the problem and eliminate it. I also have a precision but it does not give me the problems you saw (use v18). from the evidence you did it would seem to be a problem of the graphic driver, so maybe updating it or using a certificate from the one you could solve (dirver you downloaded it from the site of or from the nvidia? Sometimes those nvidia do shit with the laptop, so you have to take those provided by the, even if older.

I would try to:
1) use the driver provided by the
2) use the theme windows 7 basic
3) disable uac
4) Disable antivirus
5) use administrator user (to verify any permission problems)

probably looking among these things you will manage to solve the problem and use the graphics card in advanced mode.

I have just performed the tests recommended by you but unfortunately if I enable the picture on the solid edge application no longer leaves.
if from the nvidia driver settings select built-in graphics and I apply one of the two options in solid edge works, but it just seems not to exploit hardware acceleration.

I don't know how to get out of this situation.

I'll explain better.
I have just assembled a new fixed pc that mounts a picture nviadia m4000 (of the same generation as that of my laptop or m3000m) and the problem persists!

I tried to install both win 7 64 bits and 32 bits but the problem continues to be there.

Do you have any other ideas to solve the problem? I'll have to sell the laptop!

have you made all netframework updates of windows and service pack1?

I only noticed now that you use v19 without service pack.
Maybe it won't solve your problem but it's always good to use the latest version.

regarding your problem will be increasingly difficult to use v19 with modern software and hardware. you could try with a less recent driver or alternatively install a virtual machine with xp.

if the program fails to open the 3d interface that you can attempt to run the program with 16b color support, change the option "guided by the software", and then restore color change.
