openoffice on inventor

Hello, everyone.
someone can tell me if in inventor 2014 you can use openoffice instead of excel when dealing with iparts and similar. in the autodesk site are given as excel 2003 requirements or other software. I don't understand if in other software it is also openoffice since when I use the "create ipart" command and try to save me from the message that the program needs excel.
