I wanted to ask interested users to send an email to their technical support to ask that future versions of solid edge also support openoffice calc for the transfer of variables between the cad and the spreadsheet. currently this is only possible with ms-excel.

I think this would be due for two reasons:
1) odf format has been recognized as standard iso
2) being openoffice free, its adoption would represent a decrease in the charges for the end user who could save the ambit of ms-office.

I just got it.
the correct thing would be to open an er (enhancement request) on gtac but how you will know its direct use is forbidden to all non-North American users, i.e. use and canada.

I use ms-office and not openoffice, but I will report this to assistance equally.

I'll do it myself, though I doubt they'll listen to us. I did it years ago (I do not remember if with formal request) but clearly did not listen to me!
