perfect elliptical dome

Hello, everyone. I'm trying to develop a door fits cupolo-ellissoid, as in attached photo. I tried to do it with the surfaces, but the result is not optimal, indeed. At least like I did. I was also wondering if it was possible to make an elliptical revolution or an elliptical sweep, somehow. thanks to those who answer. :

making the elliptical dome is simple:
loft of surface between the basic ellipse and the central point of a sketch made on a plane x distance from where you made the sketch of the ellipse.
during the creation of the loft, put these conditions in the appropriate window:
ellipse sketch: condition = direction thickness= 1 or 2 in your opinion
dot sketch: condition = tangent thickness= 1 or 2 in your opinion.
thicken the surface due to thickness
creates a sketch on a perpendicular plane to what you designed the ellipse and draws the profile of the contour edge.
sweep of this profile with the ellipse as trajectory.
you can also make a solid loft and then empty it, the result is the same.
The only thing that's pretty boring is that I have a black rhyme on the surface of the elliptical dome, as if it was open, but maybe it's just a creation of my graphics card.
