Thanks to this collaboration, msc software and the state marine technical university of san pietroburg will be a centre of competence within the information technology institute of spbsmtu. the competence center will allow future naval engineers to be trained on modern simulation technologies and to be able to apply resolution methods during projects involving cae and simulation processes. engineers will acquire new skills using advanced engineering simulation technology made available by msc software for finite element analysis and multibody, mainly msc nastran, marc and adams.
“information technology and computer modeling are very important tools in the design of modern boats. here at the spbsmtu we have functional models for the entire management of the life cycle of the naval structures. msc software engineering analysis technologies will become one of the key elements in model analysis and will be used for teaching activities and research projects,” says alexey lipis, director of information technology institute at spbsmtu.
