system: windows view ultimate 64 bit with autocad mechanical 2009 sp1 64 bit
plotter: hp designjet 800 with last diriver for windows view 64 bit

Hello everyone, I have a problem with prints with autocad 2009.
the problem is that if you mold a drawing with a3,a4,a0,a2 format. everything is regular, i.e. printing the design perfectly.
it happens instead that when mold drawings that exceed these dimensions and then use custom sheets from 1000x1500 or 1000x2000 the plotter is as if it crashes. the print head makes a cm forward and one back. if I wait a 20 minute start to print, however, at a certain distance from the margins.
This problem does so on all network computers connected to the plotter installed with windows view and autocad 2009. if I use windows xp instead the problem is not there.
calling the hp say that it is a problem of autocad, calling the autodesk say that it is a problem of the hp. They also made me do some corrections on the margins, on the spoiler if I do not err and on other things.
the problem at the end I solved it alone, measuring every time I mold the drawing margins and in the custom sheet printing options imposed as sheet size that size. with this solution the problem I solved.
I wonder: but is it possible that every time molding drawings with large size I have to measure it and insert custom sheet in print with those limits?
according to you the problem can be of the memory of the plotter. And if yes, it is possible to increase it?
I thank everyone in advance and I apologize if I made some mistakes in the inclusion of the discussion.
ps.: I constantly read your posts and I really believe you experts, congratulations.

calling the hp say it's a carcad problem, calling the autodesk say it's a problem of the hp.
Uhmmm... maybe it's not one of the other... in windows I've already had problems with prints.

will not solve the specific problem, I can still recommend the installation of the service pack 3 for 2009.

the driver available on the hp site, for windows view 64bit, is unique and is a hpgl2. then launches the press in a vector way.

I would tend to exclude the memory problem but to be more than certain I would invite you to make a nice big rectangle, on an empty design, and then print it. if the problem persists is not a memory problem.

Is there an old plotter a0 hpgl2 that I know a 750c? Could you do a test?

However, if there are no valid reasons, i.e. if you do not feel more than 4 gb of ram, why do you see 64bit?

I'm asking you as you install a hundred cars per year and we're due to stay away.

- which operating system choose.
they have made me do some corrections on the margins, spoiler If I don't err and other things.
I'm sorry ... I can't resist the silly joke on a hp designjet 800 with the alettone! :36_1_13:

Thanks for the information you were very kind. . .
I have to try to make a rectangle as big as you said.
I wanted to ask you a question: what does it mean to print in a vector way?
of old plotters there are unfortunately not.
the choice of windows view 64 bit is because you want to switch to windows 7.
Sorry for the "spoiler" gaffa I mean spooler... Hi.
Thank you.

prego,
I wanted to ask you a question: what does it mean to print in a vector way?
images can be more types.
if the print driver processes the file in a "pittoric" way and then sends it, as if it were a photo, this means that the "weight" of the processing and given by the size of the image.

if, as from correct configuration using the cad, the software indicates to the plotter what are the lines to draw "vectoral", then the "weight" of the processing depends on the number of objects and not the size.
the choice of windows view 64 bit is because you want to switch to windows 7.
thanks from all my clients...
... you really want to suffer all the problems...
... a preview of the others!

Passionate advice if you do not have to use more than 4 gb of ram: downgrade to xp !!!
