Good morning to all,
I'm finally reconnecting my favorite software  I need help, lately I'm modeling some x-phalic molds and I've encountered some difficulties in extracting the silhouette curve of my element compared to a component that can be a z-axis of molding. Is there a quick and painless method to do all this? I have already tried to project 3d geometry in sketch mode but without results... I attach an image of the element

thanks in advance x the collaboration

I don't know what the edge is. . .
And I wouldn't say stupid. but it could work
and use it to make a sweep,
direction axis z with or without sform ...
then realize an intersection between the sweept and a plan, secret,
perpendicular to normal z -

we need more info to help you. . explain what you want to do with more images....

if you can post the model also iges... I see to explain and help you

You are also right, now I place some pictures and explain my problem. in the first picture I have a headlight to extract the silhouette curve of the entire perimeter, the problem arises when the outer surfaces are radiated, in fact in the second picture in section you see that the outside of the figure is not formed by a edge but by a sort of circle... now is it a little more clear?? :finger:

Hello.
you must select the surface that interests you and use the 'reflex line' command.
in this way you have to choose the direction (which is almost certainly the z) and the angle
with such direction.
more to say than to do.
