Good morning.

I am trying to set a .rte mep file that contains all kinds of pipes used in our design studio. I would like to set in the mechanical settings > pipe settings > different types of material (black steel, pead,...) and I would like to customize for each material the type of size (expressed diameter with dn, inch, ...). I'd like that for steel pipes the various dimensions were inches, for pead are in dn and so on, customizing this menu:
I tried to add a shared parameter called "diameter" but I can't recall it in the pipe segments.

I would also like to define different routing preferences for different materials (which in turn should be selected directly from the chosen pipe system, e.g. refrigerated water system, should automatically draw pipes in black steel, express its inch size and make joints to weld under 2''' and to victaulic above).

and why do you want a new parameter for the diameter? This parameter already exists, as of and de (which can be seen in the image). the other settings, regarding the materials, it is possible to create some types of pipe, but I think that you can not make a relationship between a type of pipe and a system.

by curiosity: what kind of study is yours? (intensive how many you are and what kind of projects you make)
