renderworks 2011 superior but not so fast?

I came across this article

I believe I have understood that the subject claims that it is not at all true that the module is faster compared to the maximum performance of the previous version, indeed even slower! is faster (I think I understand, my English is not impeccable at all, anything else) than if you take off the raytracing and try to get a level rendering than the previous version, then you can appreciate the greater speed

Anyway, it seems to me that the pictures are nothing bad!

in fact the blog says: "the only way to get a true apples to apples comparison is to put the new rw on its incorrect settings and the old renderworks on its highest settings."
which means that to make a comparison you have to put the new system to the minimum and the old at the most. In fact the old method of rendering "radiosity" was practically unused, given the very long calculation times, while c4d allows to have images of the highest quality in reasonable times (not very fast).
what you need to do is reconsider the textures and lights, since the two rendering engines are internally very different. It's a waste to pay, but the results pay off in a short time and they definitely give satisfaction.

without considering that in any way it is not rare that the software on the market are excellent in some respects and definitely unusable if they consider others. of course once taken the hand if even in this field recovers ground can only be a positive thing for vw.
