Hello everyone!
I am doing the thesis on a masonry villa, using ansys software. I'm in the first place, and I find it difficult to use it. I created solid elements with autocad 3d, my problem is that I don't know how to define some of the lofts that turn out to be rigid. I tried to create surfaces on autocad, I imported all the model on ansys, and in the section of the "geometria" I went to define the surface as elements 2d and with stiffness behavior "rigid". the problem is that you do not create contacts between these surfaces (solai) and the surface of the masonry (which is a solid). I tried to figure out if it was possible to manually set this contact but I couldn't. Can you help me?
I also thought, instead of creating on autocad a surface, to use the "constraint equation" command and to define "remote point" with the 4 points of the rigid loft, blocking the movements. But then I don't know how to continue and apply the loft load.
I hope I've explained myself pretty well.
Thank you!
