sketch with hook (10t)

Good day to all,

I attach a zip file in which a .igs and a .step are contained regarding a stamp with hook from me designed (solidworks 2009) for a range of 10 tons.

I wanted to know your opinion about possible obvious defects, real problems that could arise, improvements, ... or whatever else you feel may be appropriate! !

Thank you so much!! ! !

Excuse me!
I hope I have remedied attention in the correct section!

a good job at the moderator:cool:

Edoardo

in particular I have doubts about two things in particular:

1) Should I add a lateral cover to the stamp? (for further protection of the whole)

2) in case there was a bump of the hook to the ground, the set " Threaded dado-gambo of the hook-piste with balls" is sufficiently robust? ..or I can predict some additional shortcomings

Thank you.

Edoardo

Suppose I don't have a sw now to see your files, how do I respond?
put a couple of figures or patterns that we understand better... thank you

hi edoardo, welcome to the forum.
first of all compliant for the project.
One thing in particular does not fit me (point1), then for the rest some improvements can be done.

1) the piece indicated in the figure with the n°1 cannot be pictured, it must be round otherwise the hook cannot rotate.

2) the compasses at the inert of the columns indicated with 2 in my opinion are useless.
you have enough pull and spacer (with 0.5mm hole bigger than the screw)

3) the plate is only anti-savory so in case of bump is the dado thread(1) which resists therefore should go well as fixing system.
alternatively you could have used a contradado but also the platelet can go.
the only thing you should control is the axial game that has the hook, if it reverses too much risks that the balls get out of place.

4) you could round and shorten the side plates

5) the vine 5 counterdado is difficult to reach with a key! !

6) an additional casing could be a valid idea to protect the rotation system with spheres.
could you make two folded sheets like the stylized one I represented with the n°6

....good work!!!:wink:View attachment 20792

Thanks thegio!! !

I try to make the changes you suggested to me for the side cover and the hook nut and then I will put it all back! :finger:

actually the hook must be allowed to rotate, I had not noticed! ..in any case, according to you, is it good to predict a device for locking the hook in a particular position?
