solid edge is unable to obtain a valid license

Good morning.

This morning we rented a subscription license for if st8.

we had already installed on the pc if st4 that we have uninstalled.

we got an e-mail from siemens with activation code, we installed with the wizard the s8 and when we open it we enter the activation code but the error message "solid edge is not able to get a valid license" appears

Has anyone had such problems?

It seems to me that the uninstall procedure does not delete the old license file, at least on the old versions. try looking for it and rename it (one time it was called selicense.dat), and then reinsert the code.

thanks to the answer,

we tried but the selicense.dat file (which in the st8 is in the preferences folder ) was different from the license file that was installed on st4. However we have deleted it and tried to reinstate the activation code but the error message has been represented.
this morning we sent an email to the address to have technical support at the address [email protected] but no one answers yet.
now we make an attempt with the assistance of the dealer who sold us the floating licenses... we hope they help us

for record ... we solved the problem thanks to the assistance technicians who interfaced directly with siemens ... but honestly I don't know what they did
