surface extension

nunziopi

Guest
Bye to all,
I must realize the extension of a curved surface with solidworks.
in practice I want to realize the same thing highlighted in photo 1 on the blue surface of the photo 2.
I made several attempts, the first was to use the command face --> move.. . (the same command used in photo 1), but this command does not work on the highlighted face, while it works perfectly on the other faces.
I also tried the command change of items, to eliminate any fittings etc, but also in this way I cannot obtain the extension of the surface highlighted in blue.

Can someone help me?

Thank you very much.

The view is quite limited. You should see the whole edge to understand. and then if you want to stretch the surfaces to make them flush above or not. in the latter case there is the surface function\cancella face\cancella and patch that will eliminate the edge to make it "allined" to the one above. Alternatively you can work with the surfaces, using deletes the face and eliminating the side edges, making the solid a surface, then use the controls of the surface (extex-refilated-strength etc.) and once the surface is closed with a new edge bring back the whole solid with a solid surface/create.
This is the most complex but more flexible method.
evaluates well the alternative of creating profiles on plans and acting with simple extrusions or lofts...
