Hello.
I asked politely if someone could give me straights for the realization of a handle that on the top carved the texture of a carapace.
texture design was sent to me by email and is a dwg along with the rest of the design in 2d
Thank you.

Can no one give me advice on how to do it? !

Hi.

Do you just have to apply the texture for a visual effect or do you have to have the surface for mechanical processing?

In that case, you just need to make an engraving or a "3d" milling?

Hi.
I really have to remove some material....
I find it difficult because the texture design is seen in the plant and must be applied on a curved surface obtained with the replace face command... .
Thank you.

the design in the plant you can "spalm" on the surface curved through the "scratch needle" command found in the "superfici" tab. to be able to work the sketch from "spalmare" must be tangent to the surface on which "spalmarlo".

to remove the material you can then use the "normal waste" setting a depth.

Hi.

Unfortunately I can't select the surface that servers me to use sketch template but it only makes me select flat surfaces so I can't use your method! I projected the sketch on the right surface and now I try to use the normal excavation. Thanks anyway!

You can't select it because the sketch is not tangent to the surface. Try moving it and you'll see it works.
the method of projection is simpler but the sketch thus deforms in proportion to the curvature of the surface itself.

if you then put some image can help you:-)

Hi.

in fact today I read on the manual and there was written that wraps the sketch only on primary surfaces......

as soon as I can put you some pictures!!! Now I'm trying to dig on a path... but it gives me some trouble.... I'll tell you!

I would try with a normal dig and then smooth the edges.

If you want you can post what you did until now maybe I do some tests.
