Bye to all,
I write to you as I would need an expert opinion about threaded links that can be shaped with pro/mechanica.
I tried to simulate a connection between two plates using:
- cylindrical beam (with screw section) bound with rigid constraints between 1) portion of curve and threaded surface and 2) end of the curve and portion of surface corresponding to head of the screw
- connection via "fastener", where I went to define the type of connection (screw) and the required dimensions.
the two results gave me different behaviors... which created me some confusion about the modalities to use to simulate the threaded links between more components.
Now, I ask: do you know what the most correct method is? Is there a "best practice" to follow?
thanks to those who want to answer and I apologize from now on if I have not been able to explain correctly.
in case, ask yourself and will be happy to give further explanations.
