I am a student and I did a job for a mechanical firm as a designer and designer using the program "student version".

I imagine that you run into the sanctions, for you and for the company, intended for the illegal use of any software.

I used the program in student version that I used at school since my employer did not intend to pay the license.

If it was your leave, you should have avoided giving willingness to do the job.
If you are an intern the tools must provide you with the company, otherwise you are an external collaborator with all related obligations.

the company had no designers, I knew the owner and hired me as an intern to make drawings. .
When I got to work in the pc where I drew I found solidworks [Bleep], but not knowing how to use it, he asked me what I designed at school, i.e. inventor.
Then he asked me to download it, (I obviously warned him that the software I used was a school version not usable in the working field), but he told me that it was not a problem...only he needed me to draw.
if I had used solidworks would not have changed anything, being the non-original and licensed program.

Well, sorry, I don't see why you should be exempted from sanctions because you used an illegal software for students who had signed a very precise license agreement that made express ban on using it for commercial purposes.
