Hi, I introduce myself because it's the first time I write in this section:
I follow the design and manufacture of machinery and accessories for industry,
I usually work with the cad with inventor as a solid modeler.
We have a working center that is programmed on board by the operator, although we have a hypermill license (2011).
Now I'd like to try and upload the part of development cam, but at the time of doing business courses, I don't talk about it, so I was wondering where you can find tutorials for those who are in the first place.

I'd like to start using it.
Unfortunately at the time of purchase, courses were made to an operator who is now gone.
What came in later doesn't know hipermill and program on the car. with relative slowness.
So since the program we have it and that my work on inventor has decreased, I wanted to try to understand something on the cam, I tried on some .igs exported from models already made in inventor, but I went to the first attempt .:frown: I can not create the contours of a path

I can assure you that with 2 or 3 days you are already able to proceed shipped. The advantage over machine programming is so high that in my opinion it would be worth spending some time and resources. What do you mean by "also static solid model"?
I already create a solid model with inventor, they're not surfaces or anything, but solid, if I go to see properties, it tells me that it has its weight, if it were of only surfaces would tell me that it has weight=0; Then the amount in iges, and from here I open it with hypermill and save it but here I don't know if the import doesn't make me "solid". .
Is there a chance to see if the file is solid for hypermill?

No, too.
with inventor 13 I have integration with all hypermill commands, but they don't work,I don't have the license for integration.
we will see in the future.. .

However, apart from the jokes, I know a company that has done like you, has taken it (you don't know why or maybe you) , then when they decided to try to use it (after a few years) they realized that the post-processors were not good as they were never optimized.
So they put a nice stone on it otherwise it would take more money.
If anything needs to be done, for something really difficult, they turn to an external study ... otherwise they go hand in hand like more or less all.
Of course, to use it well, there is a great gain in it, in terms of time, precision and money, I think only the company mentality is missing.

hi.unfortunately I read only now this discussion.in the company we also hypermill/hypercad,we haven't had it for a long time but some tricks (crises allowing) I can do it.I'm still hanging on because unfortunately there is no manual or serious tutorial,the translation is done badly and according to me also with few content.the course we did but it would serve every second to have the affianco.... ..however if I can help you somehow ask.

I agree that the translation is wrong and that the omino of the course should always be present.
But there isn't, so if I need, I won't hesitate to ask.
