in this period I have in hand a project of a new product that my company is making, on this product are to be mounted sandwiches formed by aluminum-material idolante-aluminum. all three can have the following features:

(1) alluminio can change
thickness
and decoration
(2) insulation material can change
thickness
(3) alluminio can change
thickness
decoration

all three have equal size length and width, but can change from panel to panel. catia management should be: code for the grzzo panel after the sw0000 threading "increasing numbering" this together then must be inserted into a part because it undergoes processing type: drilling milling. I wanted to do something like that, create three catalogs the first for aluminum upper the second for insulating the third for lower aluminum. these elements I go to insert them into a secondary body of the main partbody and here I go to insert the various processes that the piece must undergo as drilling and milling. but my idea has a limit i.e. I can't insert components in catpart. how would you manage this situation? from the distinct base of catia must come out the following:

ft00000000 "finished piece"
sw0000000 "grain sandwich panel"

the logical tree should have the following aspects:

ft0000000

drilling
milling
Fitting
etc.
etc.
etc.

thanks falonef for moving my discussion.... for you that is the only path to reach? Are there no other ways to do something like that? other question but can the catalog be used for any component? not just for the common minute?

Falonef I tried to do what you suggested to me, but I can't handle it like that. doing as you say you use the library for the three models upper skin insulating lower skin, but when I realize a catpart from the product I have three different leotards that like pn father sw0000000, and then this element I can not insert it in a cat part ft000000 where I can perform the processing. My logical part tree must be like this:

sw0000000 "son"
drilling "son of the father"
milling "son of the father"
etc. "son of the father"
etc. "son of the father"

as a situation it is a little incarbugliata but because of the production. I see if I can explain better. the sandwich panel is so composed:

"Aluminum rolled" top panel with the following features that can change from panel to panel and are:
thickness

Height
decoration
bottom panel "aluminum rolled" with the following features that can change from panel to panel and are:

insulating identical material for each tite of sandwich panel the only element that changes is
thickness

this sandwich decided length, height, thickness,decoro and insulating is glued and this together takes the name sw0000000.

phase 2 the panel is subjected to milling, drilling and inserting threaded inserts, this together takes the name of ft0000000.

if I now extract the distinct base in catia I have to get this situation:
